Team Members

Managing Director: Janet Wieland

After seeing that there was a need to provide companies with in-store tastings, and brand promotion on a provincial basis, Janet seized the opportunity and launched a new business called Luma Events.

Previously, Janet has worked in both the alcohol beverage and the corporate world for 17 years, and has orchestrated events ranging from large industry functions, to small intimate parties. Janet has a Business Diploma from Sheridan College.


Project Manager: Kenlyn Hughson

Kenlyn joined the company in 2007 and was instrumental in the launch of Luma Events. Her marketing and promotions background has been essential to the successful development of the business.

Kenlyn graduated from York University in 1995 with a Fine Arts degree, and then spent 10 years working in the film and television industry, most recently as the programmer of Viewer’s Choice Pay Per View.


Event Coordinator: Sonya Ho

In 2007, Sonya began working with Luma Events as a demonstrator, and quickly showed her ambition for doing an exemplary job. Sonya has spent the last 6 months closely supervising our Demonstrators, and managing our incentive programs.

Currently Sonya is studying for a degree in Tourism and Hospitality, at Ryerson University in Toronto, Sonya has also received her diploma in Hospitality and Tourism from Centennial College.
